The yellow spring is not mentioned at all in the Transgo directions but looks like it would be the spring that goes on the 3-4 accumulator piston. I don't know if some 4L60E transmissions didn't have this upper accumulator spring or if it just was never installed when the tranny was built at the factory. When removing the 3-4 accumulator piston from the transmission case there was no 3-4 accumulator spring with it.
